This Very Rare 1886 is a early Saddle Ring Carbine Salesmen's Sample with a full forearm, the receiver, butt plate, forearm band, and forearm cap are Nickel Plated with 90% nickel remaining, the barrel and loading gate bluing has thinned and faded to gray, has a very good bore and smooth action, the butt stock and forearm is almost in like new condition with one small crack at the upper tang (about 1/2" long), standard front and rear carbine sights, by the condition of this rifle you can tell it was shown and not shot, serial number 28xxx made in 1888, letters with Cody. |
